The strength of support for the North Wests' most established show was there once again for all to see. The months of effort spent by Graham Spencer and his fellow Spartans making sure that everything runs smoothly pays off handsomely.

The interest in a War Glue was appearent throughout the day as Garry and Geoff demonstrated War Glue's power on metal, wood, plastic kits, even foam padding. Even the most sceptical could not deny the evidence of their own eyes.

Another convert to the power of War Glue is served by Geoff. Wargamers in front and behind the table enjoy challenging War Glue with all manner of materials. War Glue continually won the battle.

All hands to the pump as Garry sticks a model for one interested observer while Geoff proudly lifts aloft a 25mm figure by the spear he'd attached just seconds before. It was great for two wargamers to see the wow factor on other peoples faces that both Garry and Geoff had felt the first time they used War Glue
|
What was pleasing was even traders and exhibitors took time out to view and buy the power of War Glue. Here Garry discusses the finer details of model making with Mac Club Secretary of Liverpool Wargames Association after the likable Liverpublian had secured his bottle of the Ultimate glue.

I've never been interested in Wargaming on a competition level and so Britcon held no major excitement for me, it was just another chance to demonstrate to my fellow wargamers the speed and power of War Glue. However I left Manchester with a completely different view of competition wargamers and that whole side of the hobby. The guys BHGS lads could not have been friendlier or more eager to make the War Glue team welcome. I would like to take this opportunity to put my thanks in writing. I'll certainly be looking forward to making the trip in 2009. I'd also like to thank the guys from MAWS yet again I'm starting to almost feel at home with the guys rather than just being "Geoff's mate who has the good glue."

Back hard it in the second "side room" room where War Glue were represented by MAWS member Geoff Pearson. Geoff enjoyed mixed fortunes winning more than he lost before Brian Pierpoint ended his dreams of finishing third overall in the DBMM competition. Unfortunately our photographer did not include Geoff in action. Our old friend Dan <on the right> (see Dan's testimonial to War Glue on our testimonial page ) posing for the camera during a break in his Flames of War Game. The War Glue Challenge bit tray carrying everything from foam to steel, resin ad white metal were the favourite challenges followed by plastics (of various types) and woods . |
One of the show organisers Colin Betts with his bottle of War Glue. "I'd heard about War Glue, and now I've seen it for myself there was nothing else for it but to buy some."
War Glue convert Mac from Liverpool Wargames Association got his bottle of War Glue at Phalanx but was more than happy to pose for this shot when he visited the stall for a chat about how pleased he is with War Glue.
